Does anyone on the Board have any information on or about Fidelity Capital in Irvine California? For some odd reason I am being approached for business loan(s) and equipment financing loans. As all of you know my start up is extremely small. The person I spoke with said my company name had come up through the UCC.

Any insight(s) appreciated.

Best, DD

I just got a call from then 20 minutes ago. Nice guy, polite and friendly. But I told him we weren't interested and have a nice day. Good-bye.
What is UCC?

Uniform Commerical Code.

I went to their website and it seems creepy...it's as if something is missing...especially when I cliked on the links for customers and testimonials...both links showed the same info.

I believe I received the same phone call. I think they just got our information from the forums member list. Did you get the information from them yet? The nice guy said he would email me the information and call me back in a week. I figured there was little harm in reading some information.

Fidelity Capital in Irvine CA is a legitimate equipment lease financing company, and seems to have a good rating and reputation (Hoovers listing, DUNS number, BBB member with only 3 complaints nationwide in the last 36 months, all with satisfactory resolutions). UCC information is public record, so I guess it would provide a good source for leads for someone in that business. That's about all the insight I can offer.

It is good to know they are a legitimate company and the other information you provided. Thank you for that.

They mailed me their loan application. It seemed really light. I asked for information on interest rates/terms/etc and they declined until I provided them with my bank and company info. The sales person I am dealing with said they would turn my request over to an analyst. I will keep everyone posted.

DDiva, that does sounds a little funky. You probably have it already, but if you want the basic info on the firm I looked up and was responding about yesterday, I'll be happy to send it to you (just e-mail me if you want it).
