I used my cell phone number when I set up my s-corporation..

Can I change the name on my cell phone account to reflect that, or does my 411 and yellow pages phone number have to be a land line? (I am trying to establish business credit, and know that my phone number must be searchable in the yellow pages.

I'm sure your cell provider can answer that question. What institution is requiring your business to have a number that's searchable in the Yellow Pages? Two of my firms don't deal with the general public, and therefore have no type of yellow pages listing at all -- but they do have lines of credit.

Trying to establish business credit is easier if you start with Staples or Home Depot.
They will issue a new business a line of credit.
Use it and make monthly payments and you will establish that line of credit.
Don't worry about the phone number.

But I was told by Staples that they will only use my EIN and check the telephone number listings to make sure I have a published phone number, and then they will issue a loc.....I will try it your way though....thank you!!

YOU ARE THE MAN!! I just filled out the Staples online credit application, and I WAS APPROVED!!! I still can't believe how easy it was!! I don't need those bozos who want me to pay hundreds of dollars for them to establish my business credit--I have LUCKIEST!! Thank you so much!!
