My husband and I are starting a business as an LLC. He currently pays child support how will that effect the profits from the business since we are joint owners?

My husband is retiring so child support will be paid out of that plus the ex-wife gets a portion of the retirement check.

I guess my question is, is there a way too structure the business that will protect the majority of our income? I currently work full-time but will eventually totally work only the business.

Yes. You do need an accountant's advice. We have one on staff if you need to speak with her.

Business structure. You and your husband are starting a NEW business as an LLC. RIGHT??
Do you have a Lawyer?? Why should child support effect the profits??
Do not understand??
My husband is retiring so child support will be paid out of that plus the ex-wife
gets a portion of the retirement check?? WHY was that in the agreement??
Again do you have a GOOD lawyer. I am not a lawyer, BUT if you and your husband are starting a
new business, you should structure the business that will protect the majority of our income.
