I don't quite follow. The subject asks one question and then the post is something else, referring you
to a site to see if they are scams.

I think that the subject line should have been what the post was about.

To answer your question, yes, there are legitmate work at home jobs.

And as for the site that defines what is or is not a "scam", well, that is a matter of opinion.

I have found the site at www.powerhomebiz.com has a tremendous amount of information to share. Relevant articles on getting your home based business started in addition you can search franchise home based businesses with proven track records.

A great site to use as a resource.

I have a legitimate home based business opportunity that has little startup costs and requires no inventory. The company has been around for 35 years and is traded on the New York Stock Exchange. You can keep your present job and do this on the side or you can do it full time. I've attended many of the seminars and if you can explain and sell monthly memberships to other people and recruit new prospects then you can earn as much as you like. You receive an advanced commission on each membersip you sell which is deposited into your bank account the very next day. The memberships are $39.95 per month and if you multiply this by 12 months (1 Year) you get close to $500.00. Your advanced commission is paid out of the $500.00 and you gradually move up the commission levels. In addition, you receive overrides on your new recruits and the people they sign up. Some people who are outgoing and try hard are making serious money. You also get residual income each year a membership you sold in the past is renewed. The memberships are $39.95 per month and there's a one time startup fee of $99.00. I assure you that these are the only costs involved and the benefits of the monthly membership are well worth it. As a member you will be assigned a Provider Law firm that will write letters on your behalf, provide legal counseltation 24/7 and will even stand trial in the event of an IRS audit. In addition, you will have an expert who will restore your identity if your a victum of identity theft. These are just a few of the benefits you will receive once you become a member. Email me at JHoltel@hotmail.com or contact me by phone at (714) 425-3150 if your serious about joining and are ready to fill out the membership forms with a credit card number.

There are many legitimate work at home jobs. The way to sift out the bad is to do RESEARCH. Everyone is different and there is such a large availibility of business ops there, that there is something for everyone. I discuss this sometimes in a BLOG. Check this out:

http://www.yourneighborsrecords.blogspot.com

I apologize that the last two posts in this blog have nothing to do with business. I felt obligated to write about my friend,Martin, and the fact that he is shipping out to Afghanistan.

You are right. It takes a little of research, but you can get work if you really wanted. I did about three to six months of research about a year or so, and now I have been running my business from home and online for a year with about 60 customers and looking into doubling the amount this year. I also helping other people open theirs. Visit www.mynamewebsite.com where I sell .com names and other products. You can also do your own website when you buy a .com for about $12.49 for a year. Contact me if you still have questions or would like to start your. What do you have to do? Just set it up (I can help you) and just advertise it. I am getting a monthly check from my commissions at this time.

Sincerely,

Yes, there are legitimate work at home jobs and yes, the right one is hard to find. What will be successful for you depends on your interests, your motivation and your support.

How much time can you commit per week? Is that time during the day or do you work full time and need evening and weekend work?
Are you looking for an hourly wage or do you want do build your own business? What are your resources? In other words, do you have a car, computer, phone, home office? If you want your own business can you invest a little capitol in your business (over $1000) or are you starting on a shoestring (under $1000)? What are your hobbies? If given a choice, would you rather design something, build something, fix something or sell something? Are you legally disabled?

You can very easily waste time getting into something that leaves you wanting, wondering and wandering. If you can answer these questions briefly, then we'll be able to better guide you in a direction that gives you what you are looking for the first time.
