Giorgioa,

I just answered the post about selling a treatment of a tv show to a network and then I saw this post about service to restaurants................???????????

Thos two things seem very much unrelated.

There isn't anything in your profile, so what is it that you are looking for.

The more information you tell us and put in your profile, the more we can really help you.

Giorgioa,

So, you are looking for business ventures. What is your background and where do you live?

What do you like to do?

Also, I'm still not sure what a "treatment" for tv is?

Could you clarify.

Thanks,

Kathy

Kathy, a treatment is just a narrative that briefly tells "the story of the story" to sell a show's concept, characters, and "franchise" value. Treatments are used by established screenwriters and scriptwriters to pitch new ideas.

Lets try it another way. YES I have a few GREAT ideas in the works to sell to restaurants.
Now if I tell you about them !) you might market them yourself 2) you might improve on them and again
market or sell them.
Restaurants are all competing for the bottom line. My last great suggestion was a coffee house drive through
were the ladies (waitresses) were well proportioned and wore tights and shorts. Maybe you say it on T V.
The customers keep coming back for more.
My next idea ----Sorry can't say more yet Talking to Home Depot,
LUCKIEST

I am a marketing conultant to an Air Conditioning and refrigeration contractor in FL. My e-mail is jmjweis@bellsouth.net

Our primary target is hotels and restaurants. I wear out a lot of shoe leather cold calling them. I find my results don't appear, sometimes, for several months. As a matter of fact, I just got a call this morning from a restaurant that I "prospected" 7 weeks ago, their contractor moved!

At any rate, e-mail me and we can be a lot more specific. I have spent my whole life in restaurant marketing, 10 years in the wine business and 20+ in the restaurant equipment business and now I am consulting (for the last 3 years) to a friend who used to work for me and has a growing contracting business. I have tons of ideas that work.

hi a treatment is basically an idea for a tv show written on paper. you can register it with the screen writers guild. it gives you some protection.

I'd start by figuring out what sort of service you can sell.

Then you'll want to make sure you're able to automate most of the process. one of the biggest problems new business (and any business owner for that matter) has is the inability to extract themselves from the day-to-day.

But everything starts with the idea. Are you asking us for an idea of what to sell?

The best way to do this would be to go out to eat today. Sit somewhere so you can see the entire floor and pretty much observe. What are does the service staff do? What does the kitchen staff do, are the mangers struggling? What happens when it gets busy?

See if you can spot a hole in their day. If you're able to find a painful problem, and then show how they can fix it... that's your new business.

Hello, I have been trying to sell printing menus, invoices, letterhead and envelopes, tshirts, caps, visors, pens, etc, and have not received alot of response. My daughter is a waitress with a business, that has 3 restaurants, if you let me know, what you want to sell, I can get her to approach the manager and maybe something can come about for you! If you want to email me (midstateprints@bellsouth.net) I have another idea that might interest you! Let meknow! Thank you for your time, and good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!
