ChannelCrowd's members come from a diverse range of businesses, who are looking to reach new markets, through new channels.

Their typical challenges are:

  • Finding and evaluating new/additional partners.
  • Tracking customers' changing preferences, finding new customers, expanding into new markets.
  • Engaging channel partners' commitment in gaining product and brand recognition, through building relationships, developing their capabilities, identifying the appropriate incentives.

ChannelCrowd seeks members in the Distribution, Logistics and Marketing sectors who are able to help these suppliers to meet their challenges, and to extend their reach to new locations and end-users across the World.

Does anyone have any experience or suggestions on the best way to reach these particular businesses so that I can match them up to the ChannelCrowd Members?

Can you tell us a little more about this? What do your suppliers offer?
Do you have a website? What kind of sources are you already using?

This seems like sort of a "dating site" for business (instead of "Male seeks Female," it's "Product Retailer seeks Wholesale Supplier") -- is that an accurate analogy? I gathered that membership is free -- but like a dating site, to make one's listing more appealing and increase potential contacts, there's a monthly fee of $32US with a 3 month minimum.

There are members of this community who've posted questions in the past that suggest they might be interested in exploring your offering, so you might consider reposting this in the Business Annoucements forum (where I think they'd be more likely to see it).

Good luck!

That is a reat analogy Lighthouse24. I was looking through the website and got the same idea.

This is almost like a LinkedIn idea but on the fee side right? If I am not looking at this correctly, explain it more for us.

Hi

ChannelCrowd has been designed around three distinct missions.

  • to tame the complexity of Channel Management.
  • to provide easier ways to find potential partners and business opportunities - for both the users and the providers of market channels. (Dating Agency Analogy used by Lighthouse24)
  • to stimulate thinking at the strategic, as well as the problem-solving, level.

For all these reasons ChannelCrowd is much more than a community website. Its members don't just build networks, share ideas, and advise one another (although they do all of that). They also generate leads, find channel partners, and find new opportunities for growing their business.

One of the additional distinctive features of ChannelCrowd is that provides articles written by authors from the leading Business Schools around the world.

Hope that provides some additional context.

Many of our network members join from all over the world for new markets and marketers searching new products join.

You might check out the other post where our network is discussed so I don't repeat things here.
