I appreciate the feedback I have received from you. I do believe there are some consultants out there who take advantage of small business owners. I however, have been in the place of small business owners, and have spent over 10+ years working with small business owners like you at the point of your startup. I am the kind of consultant that can understand when business owners cannot afford standard pricing, and lower my pricing or eliminate some services fees all together to help the small business owner become successful. That is how you build a strong reputation with the customer. I hope this information helps clarify things for you.

GBI has some experience with Initial Public Offerings, but it is not our expert area. This process is not for the faint-at-heart. Please go to the link provided below, and seriously review the information, as well as your company situation. Let me know your thoughts.

REMEMBER Public companies are constantly and publicly critiqued and subjected to exacting public scrutiny and regulation. Competitively, you will be required to publish your financials, as well as your annual report. At that stage, you will have to explore innovative means to protect your proprietary information, which may not be possible --- covert marketing is highly effective. Many private companies enjoy the flexibility and the subterfuge of being elusive and hard-to-predict and penetrate!!!

I looked at your website and I saw references to emotional, intelectual and relational intelligence but no reference to 'moral intelligence'. (see: Moral Intelligence, Doug Lennick, Fred Kiel, published July 2007). Yes I understand that 'going public' is not for the faint of heart (or pocketbook), but when a person has a team dedicated to the success of the venture things get done no matter how high the pain. I also have researched going public and am aware of the requirements.

While not to market yet, we have designed our 'guerilla marketing' scheme and being a real company (although small and unknown) we have the accounting and legal rescources to comply with anything the Feds/SEC toss at us, SarbOx/going public included. The operation is run like a large public company even though we are small and private.

What kind of corporate training and education do you provide? I was, among other things, a trainer where I worked before retiring. Always interested to know what is being taught these days.
