I am trying to make up a batch of sales, yet I am using the wrong ingredients.

I either overcook the customer, or undercook the sale.

End results have been, a sour taste in my mouth, and having to make another trip to the store for more ingredients.

What am I doing wrong?

Step by Step please, if you are an accomplished sales person.

No homeade recipes not yet know to work in food industry either please.

I'm generally pretty good with metaphors and analogies, but you may have to relate some actual examples to get specific sales advice and input on this.

To use the metaphor you've provided, however . . . if the recipe says preheat the oven to 350 degrees and bake for 18 minutes, there's probably a reason. You can't put the dough in cold furnace, fire it up to 5,000 degrees, and have the same result in 42 seconds. Although this may not be a mistake you are making, one of the most common sales-related problems I see among new business owners is impatience. (The problem often goes back to not having a realistic sales or marketing plan to start with -- so they begin losing money from Day 1, get even more impatient because of they're in trouble, and then sales get worse or dry up altogether because of that.)

I was trying to encourage sales persons to share there formula for closing sales calls.

Share there formula in a 1-10 simple format.

I guess the metaphor was not the best.

iTS has no issues with it's sales or profit.

I was just trying to post a topic that might assist new businesses in there venture, and make it interesting all the while.

I hope this answers your questions.

I am actually not selling anything. I am providing a service that is beneficial to any entrepreneur that uses it.
