I was thinking of another name besides bookie but I'll keep it to myself!
At those prices I think the names will be around for awhile.

If you go to some of the major domain name registers you'll find that the "am" extension is not supported. What's up with that?

Actually some major "registrars" do not have a license for .am domain names. There really is no "support" for any domain name as your hosting server holds your zone file which contains all the routing information for your domain name. The role of the registrar is the "bookkeeper of your domain record" and the role of the zone file is to point your domain name to your different services. Country code extensions really get a bad rap from people who don't live in that country. The reality is that all domain names are merely addresses, the real need for domain names is to become indexed on google and yahoo. Most search engine utilize your domain name for search relavance; for example if I were needing assistance with setting up an email account. I would type in "how to setup email" into any search engine and the most relevant result might be howtosetupemail.com or how-to-setup-email.com. In the case of .am domains this would primary be used for marketing purposes, such breakfast.am could be used to promote a restuarant or stockmarket.am could be a stock ticker site. The world of possibilites for domain names in all extensions is endless, you just have to be creative.

But we couldn't do it at home though could we? We have to get an office otherwise we'd be a Work at Home scam.
Seriously though there probably is money to be made as a "consultant" for people looking to invest money in deals like that.
