Welcome to the Small Business Online Community! The goal of the community is to empower people in building a successful business. Here you will find a place to learn and share information with others who are in different stages of business growth. No matter what your business level, there is something for you in the Small Business Online Community.

Getting Started

The community is open to all users. You do not need to create a profile in order to read the information contained within the community. However, if you would like to post information to the community, whether in the Forums or posting a business Story, you will need to create a profile which involves a few easy steps.

Creating a Profile

By clicking on the Join Now link, you will find a brief page to fill out in order to join the community. It takes only a few minutes to complete and once you agree to the User Agreement, we will email you a confirmation. By clicking on the link you will activate your account with the Small Business Online Community and then you can post information.

Posting Information

The Small Business Online Community is a place where users help one another by sharing information. In the forums you can post a new topic or respond to a posted topic. You can also post a question and give points to the respondent who answers your question. You can rate and review our Articles. Do you have a good business success story? Share it and your helpful tips with the community to help promote your business and help others. Users can compliment and comment on Stories. Be careful what you post because posted information can not be edited once it is posted.

Gaining Status in the Community

The more users contribute to the community the more points they receive. This is reflected in a user's profile as their status icon. We want to help distinguish users who are dedicated to the community. The community will be promoting experts also so if you have an area of expertise, continue to share you information with the community. Promote your expertise and your business while at the same time helping others.

User Agreement and Community Guidelines

Users of the Small Business Online Community must abide by our User Agreement and Community Guidelines. We want the community to be a place that is a constructive and helpful site for all users. Respectful behavior benefits everyone. Users who do not abide by the User Agreement will be warned and then banned from participating in the community.

Privacy Policy

The Small Business Online Community is a free service provided by Bank of America. We respect the privacy of your information. Bank of America will not use the information that you provide to contact you for product or service offers unless you select the preference of wanting to be contacted.
