Do you use Online software in your business?

I am interested to see how SMB's are using online technology in their business and do they see a benefit over online software compared to traditional desktop versions? What factors would drive you to choose online software?

Thinking of getting the iPhone

There is so much hype around the iPhone that I am considering purchasing. I like it because it's like a mini computer, but wanted to know if anyone here has one and is happy with it as a phone? How does it perform with sound quality, speaker phone, etc.? Also my collegue had a Samsung phone (forgot which model) and it was too good as a phone, picking up all sounds even when he was crumbling a gum wrapper ...so I don't want it picking up everything either. If anyone has an iPhone and can comment on how it works as a phone, please respond with feedback.

Hi!
My name is Martin, I work for a company in Norway that sells and supports payment terminals and point of sale systems.
The last 7 years, we have mainly sold Casio cash-registers, but we are now looking for good Windows based pos software that we can become a reseller for.
We have many years of experience with cash-registers and computer based systems.

Does anybode in here know of any company that have good software and are seeking resellers?

Lotus/IBM Smartsuite?

We just started using Smartsuite, instead of MS office, since it's free. It is software from IBM that has a word processor and spreadsheet in it.

It seems to be compatible with the Microsoft files (so far). Is anyone else using it, and have you had any issues?

TransActPOS is asking hardware and retail stores nationwide if everyone is seeing issues with High Monthly Maintenance fees. We have converted many many stores that are tired of paying too much money and getting not enough support and system in return.
