I HAVE BEEN WITH lINKEDiN FOR OVER 2 YEARS, BUT I DID NOT START TO TAKE IT SERIOUSLY UNTIL 3 MONTHS AGO AND NOW MY BUSINESS IS BOOMING AND THINGS ARE TURNING AROUND IN THIS BAD ECONOMY.

THE MOUNT OF CONNECTIONS THAT I AM MAKING WILL ALLOW ME TO GET BACK ON TOP AND FIND WORK FOR MANY PEOPLE IN MY FIELDS OF EXPERTISE.

IT BEATS FACEBOOK AND ALL THE OTHER SOCIAL BUSINESS WEB SITES.

IT EVEN HAS COMPANY PROFILES AND MANY GOOD RELATED INFORMATION.

IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR WORK OR TO PROMOTE YOUR BUSINESS, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO.

IF YOU WANT TO BE SOCIAL AND JUST HOOK UP, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE.

LOVE IT! It is great for staying up to speed on what colleagues and acquaintances are doing professionally. I have also found it a helpful tool for promoting myself and business through recommendations.

Yes, i have been on LinkedIn for quite a while. I also had my son join and he has found it quite good for him. He has made a number of overseas contacts he needed for his business. Their are many very intelligent people on LinkedIn and the questions and answers are very informative.

If you use LinkedIn correctly, you will be able to build some nice alliances. My suggestion though about building your connections. I know many people like to have a million and one connections, some of which they will never use. Invite those to connect that share a cmmon interest. It will make your life easier.

I have used it and belong to it as well. Having just joined recently, I am still learning the ropes. Good for finding people you know and starting to network with them.

I am on Xing as well but have not had as much success with it as LinkedIn.
