Assuming you have no money to spend (you didn't say either way), there is a lot you can do in the area of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) that is free. It just involves work on your part, but it is very effective in driving traffic to your website. Work + Patience = the Right Traffic.

I identified 12 major influences on getting your web page to Page 1 of search results, and put them into an 8-page PDF.
(if this post breaks the URL into 2 lines, you'll have to stitch them back together.) This is the PDF:
http://www.siteleads.net/bm/bm~doc/12_hab
its_summary.pdf

Or if you want to first see where it's coming from:
www.siteleads.net

At least it's free.
And what it recommends you do is also free.
Do not pay for "pay per view" solutions. They are expensive and offer little historical stickiness. My suggestion is:

*design and build your web site
*ensure that it is SMS based so that you can quickly and easily make changes in real time
*engage a professional company that can create meaningful and valued content for your site that can be inbound and outbound linked to maximize page ranking within your industry
*check out the guy that blogs here on his site www.SiteLeads.net

Good luck.

Regards,

If you have the money to pay for advertising, you should be looking into Web Search Engines advertising. Mega search Engine like Google.com, Yahoo.com and many others out there. The quickest way for people to find your business on line is via the Web search Engines. They can only find you if you there, therefore, you should check with Yahoo or Google and see what they offer for small business.

I Hope that helps! Good luck in your new business!

Happy Holiday!

My immediate first impression: this is an RTA MLM. The site's main focus is to signing up other RTAs, not booking travel. If that's the impression you intended, the site is right on target.

As far as how to market the site, that's a challenge because you are just one of more than 19,000 RTAs already operating sites like this for YTB Travel (and YTB is only one of several RTA MLMs). If your business is about enrolling more RTAs, I can't offer any help.

If you're trying to build a profitable travel agency, my advice is to move the MLM part to the background and follow the guidance you provide on your own website for other RTAs:

"Think about it . . . Even if the prices were the exact same, the accomodations [sic] the same, the trip the same, where are your friends and family going to book their travel when they find out you are a travel professional? Would they really go do it through a faceless, cold, impersonal site where they don't even know the owner? Or would they book through you?"

I would build your business through personal contacts -- give people business cards with your web address, tell them about travel specials they might be interested in, offer to book their travel for visits to relatives or for events like anniversary getaways, etc.

Hope this helps. Best wishes.
