We are licensed by Intuit to host the Pro, Premier and Enterprise applications... essentially, the ones you would typically have to install on your PCs and network. That way, users have the benefits of online, anytime anywhere access and management along with the features and functionality of the disk-based versions of QB.
Quickbooks OnLine is available from Intuit - so is your firm basically a reseller of that and other server hosted apps?

I think that is even more frightening :\
You would leave your companies figures on somebody elses servers?
Depending on the service you're using, the data isn't really "on the Internet". With QuickBooks Online Edition, for example, your data is all stored on Intuit's servers. Maybe that's a bit too "big brother" for some people. CPAASP.com hosted QuickBooks apps and data are stored on their servers.

In short, online accounting really means using the Internet as a really long monitor and keyboard cable. It can be exceptionally secure - more secure, in fact, than keeping the data on a nominally-protected PC.

The key is allowing the business owner to get to their books when they need to... and to help the accountant work more efficiently on those books when it is required.

The thoughts of my businesses accounting being readily available online scares me.
That is one set of information I would not want intercepted by the wrong person.
Small business owners need accounting support when it makes sense for them, not the accountant. By working online, you and your accountant can work closer and more effectively. And, for a small business owner, it means having your books available when and where you need them.... at the office, at home, even while on vacation.
