I average 600 visitors a day, paid $300 for the year for my web site, never pay an SEO and I'm on page 1.

Google "IED Training Aids" and you'll see us, SGC Group at least twice on page 1.

On the bottom of the page it has "Powered by Si..." Might be worth looking at.

SimplyCharly- just remember that rankings do not equal results. SEO and organic rankings need to be matched up with conversion from a call to action. One of the biggest search marketing problems I see in the industry are companies that are showing up for the wrong keyword results and are not producing any higher sales or results 90 or even 180 days later.

Understanding and watching what visitors are hitting what pages of a site and where they are "dropping off" of the visit is vital to executing a good search marketing plan.

Because I am a tech geek at heart, I took a look at your site. Interesting concept and business idea, I like the look/theme you have going on.

From an SEO and online marketing perspective, I would assume that all of your keywords are very easy to rank for (from an SEO industry perspective), since the site itself is missing H1 thru H3, and description and keyword tags on various parts of the site and attached blog. Your blog for instance should be producing individualized long-tail keyword titles for every post in it.

Thanks for the link. But I tried navigating to the site but it's not active.

Over the past few months, I've been researching various ways to increase traffic to our site at www.SimplyCharly.com and I've found a cornucopia of information out there. But wading through it all can be a daunting experience to say the least. So I've tried a service called elance.com to search for specialists in the field. And I must say I've found some very capable people who specialize in search engine optimization (SEO). And so far, after selecting a provider from elance, my site has ranked in the top three positions on Yahoo, Google and MSN.

Getting from a 0 to a 2 is easy, most of our clients pass right through that hoop in no time. Sites should hit 3,4,5 over a period of 3-6 months or less depending on how fast the Google cycle is.

If you have a blog attached to your site (or use a blog platform with proper RSS feeds on it) you can hop through pagerank very quickly.

In any case though, pagerank doesn't mean anything for sales, leads, and profit at the end of the day. I've seen incredibly high pagerank sites that don't monetize very well and actually show up for very poor keyword combinations. PR is not the holy grail of search marketing.

You can visit our online marketing blog and read various articles pointing to dozens of good online resources.
