Used to be a big fan of Carbonite, though I'm now using Mozy which works a lot better. Having said that, I've heard Carbonite fixed some of their issues and have started offering some new features including file versioning, so perhaps they've improved now.

Basecamp is fantastic. I'm a freelance web developer and use it to collaborate with clients and sub-contractors. Worth every penny.

Haven't used YouSendIt. Prefer to use MediaFire for sending large files, though these services all tend to be quite similar anyway.

Also useful, is Google Apps for your domain. It's an easy way to get a reliable email system in place at no cost.

Price packages differ from $35.00 per call to $125 per month per computer.

Remote software is installed on your internet connected computer and it is just like we are onsite. Service call also includes phone support if your computer cannot get on the Internet for remote access.

For faxing (we could have used FreedomVOICE which has comparable rates, but we had already setup an account with this company before getting our 877 number) MyFax:

LogMeIn - Definitely a must for any small business. No matter where you are at, if you have an internet connection, you can reach your critical information back at the office.

LongJump - This website has 14 ready to use applications with built in security, view management, reporting, etc. covering IT management, HR, sales management, email campaign management and more. If you want to customized any of these you can - its a snap. If you want to get your own database on the web, that's easy to do too. If basic collaboration is all you need, Officespace lets you share files, post pictures, manage a company directory, and track company customer accounts and contacts. Really easy to use too...I recommend. All apps have a 30 day trial. Officespace is free. If you decide to subscribe, you get access to all apps for $20/user per month. A good value.
