I agree with your comment. Building trust is extremely important especially in the auto repair business, as well as many others. Positioning oneself as an expert in the field goes a long ways towards establishing that trust. Thanks for your comment.

I've created a blog to direct folks to my virtual e-tail site...so far it's working ok..I'm getting a small following and folks are feeling free to shout their comments @ http://borntoshop.synthasite.com

We are using a blog at www.sweetservices.com and www.southwestcandy.com to grow our business. I find commenting about products and services enriches the viewing of the readers. Listing the keywords on the blog also drives traffic to our websites. Hope this helps!

If it isn't, give it time. Building trust and loyalty sometimes takes time. I may not have a need for your services today, but there is always tomorrow.

Blogs can grow your business but depending on the type of business you are in it may take some time. I would give blogging at least 6 months, but I would also be careful in looking at it as a sales tool, it isn't. Blogging is really more of an image maker. It allows you to position yourself as an expert or source for trusted knowledge. Most bloggers that have been successful have started by blogging about a general category, and over time moved to become advocates for a particular product or business down the line. There are exceptions to this and they are called "exceptions" for a reason.

I think those who are most successful look at blogging as a way to provide information that strengthens a business' image in the mind of customers, recognizing that it will lead to increase brand loyalty and sales.

I hired the services of a blog writer to maintain my blog. She writes and edits my blog posts and finds photos for my post on a daily basis. If it was left up to me to write posts and maintain my own blog, I would never get any work done throughout the course of a day. I used a blog writer from http://seo-articles-on-demand.com. Now as far as advertising, the writer helps out with marketing my blog as well.
