Hi My_Lan,

I have not done much research but I actually had an estimate from this site. Bank of America more or less gave me an estimate as to how much I would need to open up. As far as the business plan, I do not have one, I don't even know where to start. I do get a bit discouraged though since my credit score is not to high and right now I'm trying to bring it up.

Thank you for the advise!!

have researched what the market is and profitability of starting a business like that? Do you have a business plan written? You should start with that and show it to a bank to try and get a loan.

Hello Every one,

My name is Karla and I reside in West New york, NJ I grew up near a street mall which contains alot of stores and businesses. Since I was young, I always wanted to have my own check cashing place in this populated area where I can sell money orders, cash checks, make money tranfers domestically and Internationally, etc. (sort of like Western Union). I did the calculations and I will need about 45k to start. The problem is, that I do not have this type of capital and my credit isn't so hot. Any one can give me any good advise?

Thank you!
