Snow Bird Comprehensive Property Management
Dear fellow entrepreneurs.

I am interested in starting a small business. I live in Michigan and see a potential need to organize comprehensive property management services for "Snow Birds" - typically retired people that move to Florida or other warm states for the winter. Michigan has more snow birds than any other state incidentally.

Would anyone have good suggestions on how to find and market to my target audience?

For those that are just starting a new small business, are
you confused about all features that come with VoIP service? Not sure
which providers are the most reliable? With VoIP rapidly becoming the
new standard for business communications, switching to VoIP is easy,
but sifting through all of the options can be overwhelming.

InsideUp,
a leading authority on VoIP services, has just released a concise,
but comprehensive buyer guide that compares VoIP features and
providers. Shoot me an email at kkwon@insideup.com and i'll email you the guide!

How do you get setup to sell a companies products!

We are on the verge of opening our fine cigars business. We have found a distributor where we can get cigars cheaper than retail, however, still not at true wholesale prices. I have tried contacting the large cigar manufactures to carry their products, however, they will not even return an e-mail. How does a new business establish contact with large companies and get a chance to buy their products direct from them, with no middle man? How does the supply chain work? I would appreciate any help, we are getting very frustrated knowing that we are dealing with a middle man when we need to work direct with the manufacturer.

Are you trying to contain costs around technology?

Companies are challenged to reduce costs and energy usage in their IT infrastructure. There are a variety of directions and options a company can take but many companies are looking for help in prioritizing solutions and a path to get the most bang for their buck.
What if a company enabled power management settings on one computer, what type of an effect would it have? What if they replicated that across their whole IT deployment, what effect would that have?
Check out our case study here. http://www.g2techgroup.com/energy-assessment-case-study.html

Re: Does Outsourcing Make Sense in this Economy?

Sometimes I log into this forum and the topic I was just thinking about pops right up. Does outsourcing make sense... I would have to say for all of those routine tasks like call center payment processing, or tier one customer support, or even creating back links for SEO purposes then the answer is a resounding YES.

Several of my clients are on the receiving end of these out-sourced businesses. They are very skilled at their tasks yet they focus on the types of processes that when brought up to scale really reduces costs.

To me I can't see outsourcing creative work unless the technology gets better and you are "in the room" with the client. It won't be long until that happens but today it is still a bit difficult to get your creative point across via email. I'm sure a lot of people are doing it I just haven't come across a client that has tried to scale that type of operation.

Two of my outsourcing clients handle repetitive processes like these:

Call Center Payment Processing - http://www.atlantasalesandconsulting.com/BPO_call_center.htm
SEO Back Links - http://seolinkwheelers.com/

Since I do this all day, every day I would have to say that for my clients, and my client's customers that outsourcing companies should be looked at as just another professional, yet economical vendor.

David Peterson
