Thanks for the information. By the way, don’t fall SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION into the tempting ONLINE BUSINESS trap of SEARCH ENGINES using keywords randomly SEO in order to increase your search engine rank. Tough to read, wasn’t it? Kinda made you want to scream and tear your hair out? Content above keywords. If your articles are so keyword rich that they don’t make sense, users won’t return and you’ll lose repeat revenue. All the search engine optimization in the world is useless if your users don’t stay on the site long enough to put cash in your pocket. Search engines pick up on this tricks anyway. Besides, it’s just plain dirty fighting.
Great information about using SEO to gain organic search engine traffic.

If you are late in the game in your niche, choosing the secondary keywords is a smart move. Once you get to the top of search result with the secondary keywords, you can start planning your SEO for the main keywords.

Remember building your page rank is just part of the SEO practice. Building your site as authority in your niche will get you to the top faster. Also, the same SEO practice generate different result in different search engine. You should take Yahoo, Live and Bing search result into consideration as well.

Http://www.smartlocalshoppers.com has help many local businesses gain organic search engine traffic by implementing secondary keywords first and move to the main keyword in the crowded niche. SEO takes time to see the result. So be patient and keep eyes on your web site's ranking closely.

There is some good advice here, however it's important to note that the phrase "venture capital 101" is very seldom searched. The phrases you want to rank for need to provide some traffic or it's simply an SEO exercise. I recently received an email from a guy who said he was ranked number 1 for "name deleted that sales guy". Well, there was effectively zero searches on that phrase so what good is a #1 ranking. In finding the longer tail keywords be sure they are in fact useful! If venture capital 101 gets searches that lead to whatever it is you are looking for then great!

Great advice! I agree, Content is King. You would be surprised how many people still "keyword stuff" their content. Your content should flow naturally and it should be search engine friendly. I am also a writer and I have written several SEO articles for business owners.
I got to agree with redleg54, ranking even number 1 means nothing when no one searches your keyword. I usually like to go with at least 100 searches a day in any keyword I target.

Yup content is king, but more importantly, UNIQUE content is king. You can't duplicate other peoples articles or you'll get penalized.
