It was not close to what a person who doesn't know that much about starting their own store. It's about branding and positioning and search engine optimization and opening up multiple websites and becoming a niche at certain product lines, and not about the eBay option, about creating a credible storefront and how to make your storefront and suggesting websites of best-in-class for them to look into. it's about teaching a CEO about the questions to ask their IT person or company they will hire to build the site. No matter if they are going to build the site themselves, they will have a number of key questions to ask the service provider or consultant who will build it. It's about talking about Web 2.0. Starting a storefront is nothing what it used to be. It is now more difficult unless you leap ahead and design your site with Web 2.0 in your design. It's about, do we tie it into our existing databases or let it sit outside our company software... You missed so much. If you guys are going to build this community and get a following you have to be different. Don't just have a meeting and say, hey, let's start our own portal. What's so special about it. You have to fight to be the best or don't do anything at all. I'll keep coming to this site for a few weeks but if you don't go for it I'll stop.
